Bachelor of Social Sciences majoring in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, and Labour Studies from the University of Waikato (BSocSci)
Hayden initially joined the consultancy in 2007 where he provided generalist HR, ER and health and safety advice and support to many organisations who are still clients of ours today. During this time Hayden managed performance, disciplinary and restructuring processes, personal grievances and represented clients at mediation. However, by 2010 he had itchy feet and headed to London to embark on his big OE.
On his return to NZ, Hayden has worked as a Human Resources Business Partner for Pernod Ricard Winemakers NZ where he supported a national operations portfolio including vineyards, wineries, bottling plant, warehousing, and distribution.
He then spent three years with New Zealand Post, looking after the national processing portfolio and supporting the business through significant transformation and restructuring. During his time at New Zealand Post Hayden has been involved in collective bargaining, which has given him great insight into large scale Industrial and Union Relations.
Hayden returned to the consultancy in 2017 with a sound understanding of unionised operational environments and the importance of effective union engagement. He is able to assist our clients with organisational design and restructuring, union engagement and relationship management, negotiations, performance management, disciplinary processes, health and safety, investigations, medical incapacity, and upskilling managers in their HR capabilities.
